FMPro Tuner is a system extension for the Mac OS which dramatically improves the performance of FileMaker Pro 4.0 and 3.0. When used as a database host, FileMaker's service can slow down radically, particularly if it is not the foreground application. FMPro Tuner patches FileMaker Pro to prevent this decrease in performance. Although FMPro Tuner was designed with network hosted databases in mind, there is no reason that everyone who uses FileMaker Pro should not also be using FMPro Tuner. With the tuner installed, FileMaker Pro is given the time it needs to handle tasks in the background. Any user who multitasks may benefit.
